The Botanical Gardens in Hagley Park, Christchurch are the source of inspiration for the seamless pattern designs shown below in Kay’s Surface Pattern Gallery. Nature provides amazing shows of colour, form and style that we can use to influence our home decor. The colours of flowers and leaves often compliment each other and can be sampled to produce a swatch palette to work with. My latest collection was based around the Pantone ‘colour of the year’ and complimentary tones.
